Nathaniel Fenner

 

[b 28 Dec. 1787 in North Adams, Berkshire, MA; d 19 Dec. 1851 in Erie Co., PA] Nathaniel Fenner moved with his parents and siblings to New York around the turn of the century. On 9 Sept. 1807 in Rochester, NY, he m Rachel Robinson [b 9 July 1788 in RI; d 4 Mar. 1854 aged 65 yrs., 7 mos., 23 days, in Newport, RI; bur. Erie Co., PA]. In 1811, he purchased land in Busti Township, Chautauqua Co., NY. At an unknown time, he moved to Erie County, Pennsylvania, and was buried there.

  2. Calista [b 6 June 1809 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY; d 14 July 1876 at Strawberry Pt., IA] m Robert Carrier.

  3. James Robinson [b 12 Oct. 1811 at Rochester, Monroe Co., NY; d 11 Apr. 1862 at Jamestown, NY] m Lovina Harrington.

  4. Lydia Maria [b 30 Sept. 1813 in Chautauqua Co., NY; d 10 Nov. 1875 at Randolph, NY] m 1st Guy C. Fargo [b 1801; d 23 June 1857] on 11 March 1833 at Chenango Co., NY. Both of them were buried in Randolph, NY. They had Charles [b 1841] and Jacob A. [b 1842/3], both at Randolph, Cattaraugus Co., NY. She m 2nd widower Charles Bruce [1809–1884] as his second wife; he had at least four children from a previous marriage.

  5. Louisa H. [b 3 Apr. 1815 in Chautauqua Co., NY] m James Barnes and lived in Cass Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa. They had Frank [b 1857 in IA]. She was probably the granddaughter mentioned in William Fenner’s will. All three were counted in the U.S. Census of 1880.
